Warm waffle-style donuts filled with cinnamon apples and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. A fun, easy twist on classic apple fritters — no frying required!

Ingredients

12 apples, peeled and diced
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1 egg
¾ cup milk (any kind)
2 tbsp melted butter or oil
1 tsp vanilla extract

For Glaze:
¾ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Toss diced apples with a pinch of cinnamon and sugar.

  • Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg.

  • Whisk wet ingredients: egg, milk, butter, vanilla.

  • Combine wet and dry, fold in apples.

  • Preheat and grease waffle iron or donut maker.

  • Spoon in batter, cook 3–5 minutes until golden.

  • Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm donuts.

  • Let set and serve.

Notes

Use a donut pan if no waffle maker. Add nuts or swap glaze for cinnamon sugar.
