Warm waffle-style donuts filled with cinnamon apples and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. A fun, easy twist on classic apple fritters — no frying required!
1–2 apples, peeled and diced
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1 egg
¾ cup milk (any kind)
2 tbsp melted butter or oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
For Glaze:
¾ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Toss diced apples with a pinch of cinnamon and sugar.
Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg.
Whisk wet ingredients: egg, milk, butter, vanilla.
Combine wet and dry, fold in apples.
Preheat and grease waffle iron or donut maker.
Spoon in batter, cook 3–5 minutes until golden.
Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm donuts.
Let set and serve.
Use a donut pan if no waffle maker. Add nuts or swap glaze for cinnamon sugar.
