A bold and creamy one-pot Cajun sausage pasta with smoky sausage, tender pasta, and a spicy, velvety cream sauce. Quick, satisfying, and full of flavor.
12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2½ cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Sauté sausage in oil until browned. Remove and set aside.
In same pot, cook onion and garlic until soft. Add Cajun seasoning.
Add broth and cream. Bring to a simmer.
Stir in pasta. Cover and cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add sausage back in and stir in Parmesan. Simmer until creamy.
Serve hot, garnished with parsley or red pepper flakes.
Use gluten-free pasta or plant-based cream as needed. Add vegetables for more color and nutrition.
