Mini sandwiches with tender roast beef, melted cheese, caramelized onions, and savory au jus, perfect for dinner or a party.
1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
12 slider buns, preferably soft Hawaiian or dinner rolls
6 slices Swiss cheese or provolone cheese
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook onions for 15–20 minutes until caramelized.
In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper; simmer 5–7 minutes.
Slice slider buns in half and brush with melted butter or Dijon mustard.
Layer roast beef on buns, add cheese, then caramelized onions, and cover with top buns.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake sliders 5–7 minutes until cheese melts.
Serve immediately with warm au jus for dipping.
For parties, make mini sliders; au jus can be prepared ahead. Use gluten-free or plant-based alternatives if needed.
