Mini sandwiches with tender roast beef, melted cheese, caramelized onions, and savory au jus, perfect for dinner or a party.

Ingredients

1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
12 slider buns, preferably soft Hawaiian or dinner rolls
6 slices Swiss cheese or provolone cheese
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook onions for 15–20 minutes until caramelized.

  • In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper; simmer 5–7 minutes.

  • Slice slider buns in half and brush with melted butter or Dijon mustard.

  • Layer roast beef on buns, add cheese, then caramelized onions, and cover with top buns.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake sliders 5–7 minutes until cheese melts.

  • Serve immediately with warm au jus for dipping.

Notes

For parties, make mini sliders; au jus can be prepared ahead. Use gluten-free or plant-based alternatives if needed.
