A homemade version of the popular grilled cheese burrito filled with seasoned beef, rice, creamy sauces, and a crispy melted cheese crust.
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cooked white rice
1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup tortilla strips
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large flour tortillas
Cook ground beef in olive oil until browned.
Add spices and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Lay tortillas flat and add rice, beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, and tortilla strips.
Fold tortillas tightly into burritos.
Sprinkle shredded cheese onto a hot skillet.
Place burrito seam-side down onto melted cheese.
Cook until cheese forms a crispy crust, then flip and heat the other side.
Serve warm.
Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat. Use ground turkey for a lighter variation.
