A homemade version of the popular grilled cheese burrito filled with seasoned beef, rice, creamy sauces, and a crispy melted cheese crust.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cooked white rice
1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup tortilla strips
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef in olive oil until browned.

  • Add spices and cook for another 2–3 minutes.

  • Lay tortillas flat and add rice, beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, and tortilla strips.

  • Fold tortillas tightly into burritos.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese onto a hot skillet.

  • Place burrito seam-side down onto melted cheese.

  • Cook until cheese forms a crispy crust, then flip and heat the other side.

  • Serve warm.

Notes

Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat. Use ground turkey for a lighter variation.
