8 slices soft white sandwich bread, crusts removed
8 slices cheddar, mozzarella, or American cheese
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
Place a slice of cheese on each piece of bread.
Roll tightly and place seam-side down.
Spread butter over the outside of each roll.
Sprinkle with garlic powder and parmesan if using.
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
