Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds beef chuck roast or stew meat, cubed
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Cut beef into bite-sized cubes and pat dry.

  • Optional: Sear beef in a hot skillet until lightly browned.

  • Place beef in the slow cooker and sprinkle with seasonings.

  • Add garlic, butter, beef broth, and soy sauce.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.

  • Stir during the last 30 minutes and adjust seasoning if needed.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Searing the beef adds deeper flavor but is optional. For thicker sauce, add a small cornstarch slurry during the final cooking stage.
