1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak
1 baguette sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 large yellow onions thinly sliced
1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 to 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
Caramelize onions in butter and olive oil over medium-low heat for 20 to 25 minutes.
Toast baguette slices at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
Season and sear steak 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Rest steak and slice thinly against the grain.
Mix sour cream, horseradish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Spread sauce on crostini, top with steak and onions.
Garnish and serve.
